Management

James Fleming
Managing Director

James joined the London insurance market in 2001, and since 2003 has been involved in writing transportation business, gaining extensive experience in this specialist field. It is with this knowledge and understanding that he will lead both within Attento and externally in the development of further niche products and solutions for the transportation industry.

His close working relationships within the team and business contacts are a key factor in establishing and managing client requirements and will assist in achieving the best possible results for clients and brokers.

Jon Sitwell LLB (Hons)
Senior Operations Director

Jon has been in the insurance industry since 1994 after completing a law degree.  He has worked in the London market and Australia in a variety of lines of business.

His background is in claims and the efficient and effective servicing of insured clients remains a priority for him.  At Attento his role is to ensure that the firm exceeds expectations in the delivery of obligations to insureds, brokers and capacity providers.

He has a strong belief in the importance of technology and an agenda to ensure Attento utilizes data and new technologies wherever possible.

Gary Mounford
Non-Executive Director (NED)

Gary’s illustrious career spans more than 40 years and has included key management positions at leading insurance firms, including Head of Property Programmes at W/R/B where he set up and ran a successful global commercial property, personal lines and commercial auto account and Senior Class Underwriter at Catlin Group.

As a NED at Attento, Gary works alongside senior management to continue to build and expand Attento’s successful motor transportation business in North America and Canada and develop new lines of business.

Underwriting

Marcus Tobin
Senior Underwriter

Marcus has over 20 years experience in transportation in the Lloyd’s and London market place, including over 13 years on the trading floor of a Lloyd’s syndicate in the Marine Cargo team. In this time Marcus has gained an invaluable education in transportation insurance working alongside the underwriters who created many of the wordings which are still used today. Marcus also held the position of “Lloyd’s Marine Under 35’s Chairman” using this role to arrange market events, international educational tours and to raise money for charity.

Colin Bird
Senior Underwriter

A 30+ year veteran of the market, Colin joined Attento in 2023. With a background in transportation and specialising in cargo cover he has experience working in brokers, MGA’s and carriers.

Colin’s long market history has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of broker’s needs and their client’s requirements. He will continue to develop and cement these relationships at Attento as well as ensuring that our cargo offering meets the market’s expectations.

Luke Potter CII
Underwriter

Luke has been working in the Insurance industry since 2014 in Underwriting, primarily specialising in auto and transportation insurance. Luke brings a modern underwriting stance with a particular focus to online quoting and servicing of day to day risks. This approach combined with his analytical and numerical skill set makes him a valuable member of the team.

Lauren Stevens
Assistant Underwriter

Lauren has been working in underwriting in the insurance market since 2013 after completing her college education.

Involved heavily with day to day underwriting duties, broker interaction, contract supervision and renewals, Lauren continues to develop and expand her knowledge and understanding of insurance. Predominantly focused on the APD and MTC line of coverage she is widening her knowledge by working to complete her CII qualifications.

Dulcie French
Underwriting Assistant

After completing her ‘A’ Levels Dulcie decided to forge a career in insurance and we were delighted to welcome her to Attento in 2023. As an Underwriting Assistant Dulcie provides vital support to our underwriters, providing them with the data and information they need to complete the underwriting process. Dulcie is developing some key underwriting skills and making invaluable market relationships as she progresses her career at Attento. Her great work ethic and outgoing personality maker her a fantastic and valuable addition to the team.

Claims

Katrina Einchcomb
Transportation Claims Manager

Katrina is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the technical and complex claims handling process, including litigated matters and complaints.  She also ensures that our network of service providers deliver our high standards of care and service.

She has worked in the London Insurance Market since 2004, including at a broker and insurer and she has gained worldwide claims management knowledge, particularly in the cargo and transportation arenas.

Working closely with underwriters, brokers and clients, she ensures that service levels are maintained and teams work towards bringing claims to a prompt and fair resolution.

Operations and Data

Will Smith MMath (Hons)
Business Analyst

Will joined the London insurance market in 2010 after completing a Master of Mathematics degree at the University of East Anglia.

Since then he has gained vast experience working in analytical roles at a large global insurer and a Lloyd’s syndicate before more recently applying his skills to the MGA environment. This has provided him with a solid understanding of how the market and various organisations within it operate. This means he can tailor business intelligence to carriers’ specific needs, as well as provide underwriters, claims, brokers and agents with data-driven tools to help them make better commercial decisions and offer an improved overall service to clients.

Ryan Potter
Data Analyst

Ryan joined the London insurance market in 2017 after completing his A level studies and has since gained experience in both the underwriting and claims team with a particular focus on the application of data and technology to the US Transportation sector.

With a strong aptitude for numeracy Ryan has taken responsibility for claims analysis and reporting whilst maintaining regular contact with third party administrators.  He continues with his professional studies to further his knowledge within the insurance market and is working towards completing his CII qualifications.
